Error-free installation

SCO XVision Eclipse provides an extensive range of tools to ensure PC X server installation is error free. It automatically analyses potential problem areas, for example, the network check tool analyses the PCÆs TCP/IP installation to ensure the X server will function correctly. Any test that fails is reported, together with suggested solutions.

Once an X application has been started with SCO XVision Eclipse, you never have to wait again for it to start up. It includes SCO Vision Resume, so you can simply suspend an X session and resume it when required. SCO Vision Resume dramatically increases user mobility by eliminating the long start-up time associated with X applications.

"We liked EclipseÆs resume feature. It let us suspend an X session, shut down or move the PC, and resume the session where we left off. This is a handy feature for mobile users."

The application and host information files can be embedded within Web pages and launched from the browser with SCO XVision Eclipse as a helper application. This modular approach to Web-awareness ensures complete security at the host and application level. User and password information can be encrypted, making the application and host information files portable between Web sites, with no added security risks.
